Professor Evelyn Uuemaa, the Principal Investigator of FutureScapes, and Associate Professor Alexander Kmoch took part in the FOSS4G conference in Auckland, New Zealand last week.

They presented the Estonian Environmental Data Cube geokuup.ee developed within the Centre of Excellence, which forms the basis for nationwide assessments of carbon flows and biodiversity in Estonia.

FOSS4G is a conference focused on open-source geospatial data analysis and visualization software (e.g., QGIS, GDAL), bringing together software developers, geoinformatics specialists and cartography enthusiasts from around the world, representing research institutions, companies and government organizations.
